Modern Life Is Rubbish
Part of the Best of British Strand
With this witty and thoroughly engaging rom-com, director Daniel Jerome Gill’s debut film charts the relationship between Liam (Josh Whitehouse) and Natalie (Freya Mavor). Initially drawn together by their shared love for music, ten years later they are struggling to see what they saw in each other. As they start to split their music library, the soundtrack of their relationship keeps on pulling them back together. A real warm-hearted charmer of a film nicely adapted by Philip Gawthorne from his award-winning play.
