Blood Fest
There is a knowing and diabolical charm to horror-comedy Blood Fest – a razor-sharp blending of Scream (1996) and Cabin in the Woods (2012) – that balances laughs with blood-letting and revels in horror film tropes. Best pals Sam (Seychelle Gabriel) and Dax (Robbie Kay) along with hapless Krill (Jacob Batalon) try to get the better of a bloodthirsty showman, whose horror movie festival turns seriously gory. The threesome must capitalise on their horror-film knowledge to escape madmen, monsters, zombies and vampires in a bid to survive and escape.
