Cosmic Kaleidoscope

Minha Park's video Cosmic Kaleidoscope (2018) portrays our long - held fascination with the source of light and stars to cinema, a space of illusion. Gazing at the stars in the dark stirs visions reaching far beyond our own planet, like the visions found in the infinity of a mirror or in the mystery of a magician's crystal ball. People have caught glimpses of rabbits and women in the desert of the moon. The Stars bring out the unreachable world to us. To find out the traces of human attempts towards another world beyond the Earth, Park visited and filmed places such as: Human moon landing place (Apollo 1 - 11 launch pads) at NASA, Tomorrow Land in Florida, and Mars Life testing site called Rio Tinto in Spain.As suggested by the end of the work, desire for yet another unreached planet brings endless imaginative narratives of human being.
