We're delighted to announce the call for EIFF Works in Progress along with a new partnership with One Bright Dot to award the most promising project with £20,000 in-kind grading services to use against a future film production. One Bright Dot are a post-production facility based in Yorkshire specialising in Grade, Motion Graphics, VFX and Audio.

Running since 2016, EIFF Works in Progress supports UK filmmakers in their ambitions to reach completion, festival selection and distribution. Each year EIFF selects 10 projects to be presented to an audience of international sales agents, distributors, producers and festival programmers. A cash award of £2,500 is also presented to the winning project which will be selected based on showing the most promise, originality and clarity of vision.

EIFF Works in Progress will take place this year on Sunday 21st June. Previous projects selected include Cat in the Wall (Dir. Vesela Kazakova and Mina Mileva), which had its world premiere at Locarno Film Festival 2019, picked up the Screen International Critics Choice award at Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival and FIPRESCI Prize at Warsaw International Film Festival, Us Among the Stones (Dir. Dictynna Hood), which premiered at BFI London Film Festival 2019 and Jellyfish (Dir. James Gardner), which had its European premiere at EIFF 2018, going on to have a theatrical release.
