Creative Europe Desk UK Presents: Cracking International Co-Productions
17:15 - 18:30
TRAVERSE THEATRE 1
EIFF Press & Industry Centre

Access: EIFF Passholders

All you wanted to know about starting an international co-production but you never dared to ask! This event will look at the co-production landscape in UK through case studies of recent local and international films, considering the benefits and pitfalls of venturing into co-productions for the first time.

International co-production is an increasingly frequent way of funding a film, but not without its challenges. We’ll hear from producers who have worked across borders on how they tackled initial funding barriers, identified potential partners and assessed the financial and creative gain for their film.

Confirmed guests include Isabel Davis, Executive Director at Screen Scotland, and producer Marleen Slot (Dirty God, Neon Bull, Zagros).
