Casting Light on Casting Directors
17:15 – 18:30
TRAVERSE THEATRE 2
EIFF Press & Industry Centre

Access: EIFF Passholders

The Casting Director is an integral yet oft-misunderstood part of the filmmaking process, whose creative input spans the entirety of production and has a resounding impact on screen.

Join members of the Casting Society of America’s European chapter as they illuminate the casting process and the value that Casting Directors can bring to your production, whether it’s your first feature or your fiftieth. We will explore their up-to-date knowledge on both established talent, as well as exciting newcomers, their relationship with Producers, Directors and Agents and their experiences of co-productions and international projects.

Moderated by Rachel Robey of Wellington Films, panellists include Casting Directors Kristina Erdely (Love, Death + Robots, Eaten by Lions), Mathilde Snodgrass (The Sisters Brothers, Jackie) and Carolyn McLeod (Big Boys Don’t Cry, A Christmas Prince).
