Rebekah Fortune has worked extensively in theatre and TV since she gained her BA and MA in Drama. In 1997, she began to direct and set up a critically acclaimed theatre company. Something Blue, her first short film, and the inspiration for Just Charlie, was selected for festivals all around the world. Just Charlie is her first feature film.

Charlie, a young football prodigy, has a bright future in front of them. But when they come out as transgender suddenly life for everyone is turned upside down. All Charlie now wants is her friends and family to accept her and to live as her own self, but some people take longer to accept this than others.
