Submit your film the world’s longest running film festival, renowned for discovering and promoting the very best in international cinema. Each year EIFF premieres films never-before-seen in the UK, bringing filmmakers and audiences together for a unique celebration of film, and you could be part of it!
At EIFF 2019 we screened exceptional films that came through open submissions, including Heatwave (pictured) which went on to win the McLaren Award for Best Short Animation, and The Call which won our Best Short Film prize.
Submissions open 8 November 2019 and we have the following deadlines:
EARLYBIRD Thursday 12 December 2019
REGULAR Thursday 16 January 2020
LATE Thursday 6 February 2020

Our 74th edition takes place in Edinburgh from 17 - 28 June 2020, and the full programme will be announced on Wed 27 May. We hope to see you there!
