EIFF & Procam Take 2 Short Film Pitch is a short film pitching competition, where you can win £5,000 worth of equipment hire for your short film from Procam Take 2

EIFF is delighted to announce a brand new partnership with leading cinematography rental facility Procam Take 2, offering Scottish-based short film productions the chance to win a £5,000 equipment hire voucher. Procam Take 2 has an extensive equipment inventory, meaning the prize voucher can be used to hire cameras, lenses, lighting, monitors, grip, and audio equipment for your short film.

Procam Take 2 are not only generously providing the prize for the Short Film Pitch but are also supporting EIFF Youth and EIFF Industry activity starting this year.

Entry Criteria 
  • Your film must be fiction
  • Production must take place before 31st December 2022
  • Your production must be based in Scotland
  • You must be able to collect any hire equipment from the Edinburgh or Glasgow branches of Procam Take 2
  • You must obtain hired-in equipment insurance to cover the value of the equipment on hire as part of your production

The submission deadline is at 5.00pm on Wednesday 18th August 2021.

Selection will be based on your application documents.

The winning entry will be selected by representatives of Edinburgh International Film Festival and Procam Take 2.

Your Application  

Who can apply? 

  • All applicants must be looking to make a short fiction film before the end of 2022
  • The producer or production lead must be aged 18 years or older
  • You will need to provide proof of your production insurance to confirm the hire

How to apply: 

During the application process, you will need to provide: 

  • Your film CV/Biography
  • Why you want to make this particular film (statements may be attached as video recordings)
  • A synopsis of your film including the ending (maximum 500 words) 
  • Your outline budget
  • Your anticipated shoot dates

Please note: 

  • We encourage entries from under represented backgrounds
  • We anticipate this competition being extremely competitive so please be as clear as possible on your reasons for applying
  • All applications will be received in strict confidence
  • Unsuccessful applications and all materials will be disposed of safely and in confidence

The deadline for submitting your film information is at 5pm on Wednesday 18th August 2021
