Daring, challenging, uncompromising and thought-provoking, Black Box presents a selection of short and feature-length experimental and artists’ film from around the world.
These works exist on the margins of commercial film production, pushing the boundaries of visual communication and tying together form and politics in new and exciting ways. In this year’s programme, we take a close look at the natural world, the interconnectedness of bodies both human and non-human, and the power of materiality and physical contact. We take a deep breath and observe, allowing relationships to unravel and thoughts to rise to the surface.
