We are delighted to present an amazing selection of special events to complement this year’s programme and celebrate the many ways in which cinema can be experienced.
There are special screenings, including a fantastic preview of Douglas Mackinnon’s adaptation of Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett’s bestselling Good Omens, a powerful retelling of the story of the King of Scots in Robert the Bruce, a special new 4K restoration of David Lynch’s noirish classic Blue Velvet, and our Retrospective LIVE! presentation of Robert Mugge’s Black Wax.
We are very excited to be presenting brilliant live events, including two special events celebrating women in film – Reclaiming the Frame with Birds’ Eye View and Girls On Film Live! – as well as a thought-provoking lecture about women in the film industry, and a fascinating onstage discussion between composer Craig Armstrong and actor, director and writer Peter Mullan.
